Mr. A Miller
Aug 18

Sir,
You will let the bearer Mark(?) have his wife Charlot and her two children Poley and William (colored) to take to the plantation of Mr. Stokes. You will furnish them with provisions enough to last until January 1866. I shall expect you to do this with out my having to send one [sic] there to say how much will be necessary for their support until the time specified above.

Respectfully,

CC
